Welcome!!!

This Wiki is a collaborative effort to document the Script language, game concepts and "rules as coded" of the AGE series of games. The primary audience is intended to be developers and the modding community. Players interested in "what goes on under the hood" will also find many interesting topics.

User contributions are welcome, as long as a valiant attempt is made to use the correct templates, place information in correct categories, and generally keep to facts rather than opinions.

Be civil! Have fun!!!!

The AGE Games

Birth of America (BoA)

Scope of the game covers all of North America, from Florida to Quebec and New England to Mississipi, from 1755 to 1783. Game map is divided into more than 700 provinces, with a great diversity of terrain, climates and civilization levels.

There are two camps fighting each other in all of the game's 10 scenarios. Game turns correspond to one month of historical time. Scenarios vary from a few months to almost 9 years. Players control mostly the military action of their nation. This includes such activities as drafting forces, building forts and depots, sieges and blockades, raiding enemy settlements and battles, both on land and at sea.

AGEOD's American Civil War (AACW)

Players are military and political leaders trying to lead the troops of their nations (armies and fleets) to victory, in the midst of some of the toughest operations during those five years of wild campaigning throughout a divided nation. Most of the individual years of campaign between 1861 and 1865 are playable via a separate scenario (to be refined during beta testing). Advanced scenarios will allow recreation of some yearly and/or theatre campaigns, and there will be of course the complete Grand Campaign covering the whole war.

Napoleon's Campaigns (NCP)

Easy to play, hard to master, play a scenario over a few hour or long breathtaking Campaigns following Napoleon's tracks ; A large collection of campaigns : Austerlitz (1805), Trafalgar (1805), Iéna (1806), Friedland (1807), Danube (1809), Russie (1812), Allemagne (1813), France (1814), Waterloo (1815), Espagne (1808-1814). And the bonus of England Invaded (1805) ! The largest most beautiful Napoleonic Europe map ever, with unequalled look and detail levels like dioramas ; 7 playable nations, dozens of different troops, hundreds of events, over 1000 historical leaders with unique abilities ; Organize divisions, armies and corps, manage supply and morale, and put the best leaders in command

Wars in America (WIA or BoA2)

Wars in America is a new stand-alone game not compatible with the previous one. A large part of the work made on our recent games is retrofitted and some brand new code added. The game is based on the basic content and elements of the original Birth Of America game already distributed by the publisher, with the addition of many new features and campaigns.

Rise of Prussia (RoP)

Rise of Prussia is the latest release from AGEOD, and is a follow-up to their successful historical strategy games Birth of America, American Civil War, Napoleon's Campaigns, and Wars in America. Rise of Prussia covers the European campaigns of the Seven Years’ War (1756-1763).

Vain Glory of Nations (VGN)

In development

Vainglory of Nations is a historical strategy game, with a simultaneous turn-based engine, that sets the players at the head of the Great Powers of the world between 1850 and 1920. Eight nations are playable, either solo or multiplayer: USA, Great-Britain, Germany, France, Japan, Russia, Austria-Hungary and Italy.

Players are Victorian statesmen trying to find the best way ahead for their nations in the midst of uncontrolled capitalistic expansion, commercial and technological changes, colonial and social conflicts and behind the doors great powers diplomatic negotiations.
