For group of units. A collection of Units or composed units (Divisions or Brigades in AACW, NCP, RoP, RUS or VGN). Also know as a Stack or a Force. Groups merge into another group: so the groups are not game units (even if a group can be picked up individually on the map), for a unit is a 'basic playing piece' and so does not dissociate itself (it keeps its unity) when put in a group (a group is not a unit even when composed by the player, for a composed unit stays a 'basic playing piece' when put in a group).
As an option, stacks of a same region or a same city can be represented on the map included into a sole figure.
A high rank general can be a Army or Corps leader; his group is the Army or Corps, which are both special forces.
